How we often let our emotions get in the way of things. Subconsciously at some point how we wish to feel numb, no emotions and no thoughts, just our conscious and us!
Some of us indulge in alcohol, substances, drugs, violence and what not. Then there are some of us who exercise, meditate, play sports, hike and more such things. These are very common coping mechanisms which are bad and good.
There is another thing which we use as a coping mechanism which lies in between good and bad. Staying up at night till our brains are exhausted to think any further. The brain is numb we wont feel or think about anything, rather we cannot!
On the internet there are lists of good and bad coping mechanisms. But today after the whole pandemic situation, staying up at night has become another coping mechanism which might not be listed in bad but for sure has a negative impact in the long term.
Not unless we are aware of our emotions, we understand how we deal with it subconsciously. Only when we are aware, we could change!
