Reality Check

 Don't we all like to be praised? 

Every time somebody praises us, we get the reassurance which we all like to get time to time. Seriously, I love it when people admire my articles, who doesn't? 

It feels wonderful to be around people that admire you. Positive encouragement is essential for growth but you know what else is essential? It is a Reality check. We tend to seek advice and support from people who would keep us in our comfort of thoughts. It is easy that way. 

Only when people are honest, they would tell you the truth and push you out of your comfort to think about other perspective. If people around you won't do that, they can't be your close-ones. Because are we not meant to help each other become better? 

Perhaps to console ourselves we build a story according to our needs but at some point the reality peeks and we have to make peace with it. Be open to people who you know would treat you with honesty. 

At first instinct I might not like when my article is not recieved well but I have my sister telling me I have to put in more efforts the next time. 

Last Sunday was friendship day, I have seen friends support one another in the wrong things just because they are friends. Why not instead choose the company who would always paint the real picture and help you get through it?
